Integrity, courage, and vision are essential pillars for every woman committed to driving progress and contributing to positive change within her community every single day.
The 13th season of The Fabulous Woman Awards 2025 is firmly rooted in the goal of celebrating the journey of the African woman across the continent.
Pontsho Manzi, CEO of SLM Foundation and founder of the awards, recently spoke with M24 TANZANIA MEDIA.
She shared that this 13th season since the award’s inception is focused on honoring and recognizing the strength and value of the African woman.
“In today’s world, positive outcomes are more powerful than titles. Our theme this year is ‘Journey’.
“It’s a theme that calls on us not only to honor the destination of success but to reflect on the perseverance, bold decisions, and intentional steps taken in the pursuit of goals.”
She added “It is a call to action for changemakers starting with emerging leaders to have the courage to bring about positive change by recognizing, uplifting, and celebrating women.”
The awards were launched in 2013 by Pontsho, a South African businesswoman and media professional.
She has been devoted to igniting ambition among South African youth, especially those from underprivileged communities.
".., by equipping them with skills and purpose to overcome barriers, launch businesses, and lead with compassion.
“I am proud to recognize women who are making a difference and significantly contributing to poverty eradication and the empowerment of women and youth in South Africa.
“I look forward to hearing more of their success stories in the months ahead. These awards were created to honor women with ethical leadership, vision, innovation, and excellence.
“Community-focused initiatives are key, with the ultimate goal being to offer role models for other women to look up to,” she said.
