Msufini Primary School, located in Miono Village in Chalinze District Council, Bagamoyo District, Pwani Region, has received two machines one for duplicating documents and another for printing papers worth TZS 2.6 million.

The machines were donated by Amara Executive Lodge as part of the hotel’s initiative to give back to the community.

Speaking shortly after handing over the equipment, the hotel’s Manager, Karim Rutwengwe, said the need for the machines was among the challenges raised during the Standard Seven graduation ceremony held at the school on October 9 this year.

He said the school’s lack of the machines had made it difficult for teachers to duplicate and print examination papers, prompting the hotel to intervene.

“Today, we have handed over two machines, one for duplicating documents and another for printing, with a combined value of TZS 2.6 million.

“This support is part of our commitment to giving back to the community in various areas, including health, education and community development, because it is our responsibility to do so,” Rutwengwe said.

He added that the hotel’s strategy was to continue working closely with the Chalinze community to address challenges facing residents and support them whenever necessary.

“Our strategy is to ensure that children studying in Chalinze District Council have access to the essential resources they need to study effectively.

Therefore, we will continue providing various forms of humanitarian and social support to promote the education sector,” he said.

Meanwhile, the school’s Head Teacher, Bless Kanuti, thanked the donor, saying that teachers previously faced difficulties duplicating examination papers whenever the school needed to conduct tests.

“Previously, we faced difficulties printing and duplicating examination papers. This support is very important because it has provided us with essential equipment that we can use here at the school,” Kanuti said.

He added that the school’s priority was to provide quality education to students so that they could perform well in their examinations, which would contribute to improved academic performance.
